Entertaining

It seems that recently I am learning more about myself, than at any other time in my life. Sometimes I feel like I discover something within me that I never knew was there before. For example, last night we had the honor of hosting dinner for some very dear friends and my sister-in-law. I loved entertaining them! That was something rather unexpected to me, because I was never sure if I would really enjoy doing that, but I find more and more that I love it! I love trying to make sure that everyone's needs are met, that they have enough food, drink and good conversation. I love welcoming them into my home and sharing with them this little family that I am so very proud of! I hope that they leave here feeling the happiness and love that is such a part of my little world and everyday life.

Oh Where is My Hairbrush!

My little companion who follows me everywhere, was with me today as I was putting on my makeup. I decided to let her play with my little blush brush and I tickled her beautiful little cheeks and nose with it to make her laugh. As I went back to applying my makeup, I noticed her sitting at my feet running the blush brush through her hair! I tried so hard not to interrupt her thought process by my laughter, but it was just the funniest thing to watch her brush one side of her head and then the other. So there we were, Mommy and daughter making ourselves up and trying to look presentable for the guests that would be coming for dinner :) Needless to say, it made my night!

A birthday date!

I realize that this is a little late, but I had to brag! My wonderful husband took me out on a date recently for my 25th birthday and it was so romantic! We were all dressed up and we out to a fancy dinner at Maggiano's Italian Resturant. It is nice to remember the fact that you are a romantic couple, especially after the addition of a little one :) It was so nice to take a long time to eat and be able to have good conversation and good wine! I feel so blest to have married someone so thoughtful. I love the fact that we still enjoy spending that kind of time together!
